The business process services tend to become an integral part of the process and technology with the people who would run them. It has been known to cover everything ranging from simple processes based on specific tasks such as document management or payment processing, to the intensive knowledge of specific industry processes.

It would be pertinent to mention here that traditional BPO does not touch these processes usually. It would also be covering any blend of people, technology and processes. It would not be wrong to suggest that BPS would not be limited to the technology systems carrying out the processes.
